watermaps

Watermaps is a system that enables people new to London, find their way around, especially when it is raining.

Using Hydrophobic Paint, sprayed on the pavement near tourist attraction sights, an interactive map appears when wet, providing directions to the nearest tube stations or rain safe spots.

Additionally, a QR code is provided and when scanned, it instantly directs you to a website that gives you more information about your location and the landmarks you are near. It provides a tube map, a GPS service to navigate and a brief history of the landmark you are at.
